Ruth + Mark | Yorkshire, UK
I’m honoured to have been part of this Yorkshire wedding. The autumn details and colours made it a pleasure to shoot, not to mention the relaxed vibe of the bride and groom, Ruth and Mark.
Walking into the bridal suite, Ruth, dressed in pyjamas, had her bridal flower tiara on her head, ‘I’m not putting my dress on yet, let me show you the reception room!’
Excited, she walked past Emma the wedding organiser at Bar 315 and through the corridors to the event room. The room was stunning and so was she, excited, relaxed and ready for her big day.
It was easy to see why Ruth and Mark chose St. John's church, it was a vision, with candles and flowers lit by soft yellow light. An lovely venue for an intimate wedding.
Reverend Helen Butller welcomed everyone and pointed out the best places to shoot from, really making the church an easy and comfortable place to photograph.
Mark stood by the alter greeting guest as they came in, smiles all round.
The nerves shone through Ruth’s broken voice as she held back happy tears when reciting her vows, making the guests reach for their tissues.
Braving the November cold, Ruth and Mark thanked the Reverend and the Reverend replied in her wonderful Yorkshire accent, “Go and get yourself a drink!”
A beautiful day of love, smiles, a pub quiz and sparklers.
