Hi, I’m Tess
I’m a Brit/Colombian living in the beautiful Derbyshire countryside, and I’ve spent my career using storytelling, film, and photography to elevate people—especially women—whose voices deserve to be heard and seen.
With a background in filmmaking and psychology, I’ve always been drawn to the way people express themselves, especially in spaces where they’re not always expected to take up space. I’ve worked in weddings, motorsport, and media—industries that might seem worlds apart, but all share one thing: a need for authentic, human storytelling. Whether it's capturing emotion on a wedding day, documenting the high-energy world of motorsport, or supporting women-led businesses through creative content, I aim to empower.
I’m especially passionate about helping women feel confident on camera—whether that’s for personal branding, creative projects, or stepping into traditionally male-dominated industries. I know it can feel awkward having a camera pointed at you. (Trust me, I’ve been there.) My approach is relaxed, collaborative, and always focused on making you feel seen, not staged.
Outside of my own work, I regularly collaborate with my husband, photographer Dan Bathie (he’s amazing—check him out: danbathie.com), coordinating automotive shoots and editing videos for car manufacturers. I also work with Spacesuit Media to capture the atmosphere and storytelling behind motorsport events around the globe. Being a woman behind the scenes in such a fast-paced, male-heavy world is something I’m proud of—and want to open the door for more women to experience too.
My work is all about celebrating people—your stories, your growth, your joy—and I bring that energy to every shoot, whether it's for a wedding, a brand, or a businesswoman on a mission.
Things I Love:
My black lab Hank, working with Dan, my garden, true crime documentaries, good curl days, autumn light, wine, holidays, sharks (from a safe distance), jet-washing videos, and lifting other women up in every space I can.
If you’re a woman building something bold—or want to feel bolder doing it—I’d love to connect.
